The event marked an important step in strengthening collaboration between the two institutions, with a focus on joint research, academic exchange, and future cooperative activities.

Assoc.Prof.Auchara Tangsathapornpong, MD, Dean, together with the executive management team, paid an official visit to the College of Medicine, National Taiwan University (NTU), Taiwan. The visit marked an important milestone in strengthening international collaboration, during which both institutions jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The agreement aims to promote future cooperation in the areas of academic exchange, education, and research. In addition, both parties held constructive discussions to explore opportunities for long-term collaboration, including joint research projects, faculty and student exchange programs, and other academic initiatives that will further enhance institutional partnerships in the future.

Associate Professor Auchara Tangsathapornpong, MD, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, along with executive administrators, welcomed Nikon Singapore Pte. Ltd. and Hollywood International Ltd.

On this occasion, three parties signed the Collaboration Agreement to pursue and operate a NIKON Center of Excellence for Confocal Microscope at Faculty of Medicine Thammasat University.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Sira Nanthapisal, MD, Associate Dean for Administration and International Affairs, together with the executive team, welcomed a delegation from the IB Coordination Office and the Department of the Executive Board University Medicine, LMU Health Academy, and the Musculoskeletal University Center Munich at LMU Medicine, Germany, during their visit to the Faculty of Medicine, Thammasat University.

The meeting aimed to exchange knowledge in health sciences and explore opportunities for academic and medical research collaboration, with a focus on developing innovations that promote health and enhance the quality of life for people both in Thailand and internationally.

The Department of Emergency Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Thammasat University, welcomed Professor Kei Suzuki together with emergency physicians from the Advanced Emergency and Critical Care Center, Mie University Hospital, Japan, for a visit to observe the operations of the Emergency Room, the Emergency Medical Services of Thammasat University Hospital, and the Thammasat Medical Education and Training Center (TMEd).

On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Chitlada Limjindaporn, Head of the Department, delivered a welcome speech, presented souvenirs, and engaged in an exchange of perspectives on the management of emergency rooms and emergency medical service systems, highlighting the differences between Japan and Thailand.

Prof. Dr. Phongsakorn Matwisess (Chair of the Graduate Program in Applied Biosciences [International Program]), participated as co-hosts of the AI in Global Health Symposium, organized in collaboration with the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), USA, and Maastricht University, the Netherlands.

The symposium took place from 29–30 October 2025 at the Marnix E. Heersink Institute for Biomedical Innovation Conference Center in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.

During the event, Assoc. Prof. Auchara Tangsathapornpong, MD., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Thammasat University, delivered the opening remarks jointly with the deans of UAB and Maastricht University. Meanwhile, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sira Nantapisal, MD, Associate Dean for Administration and International Affairs, was invited as a speaker to present on the topic “AI Adoption Barriers in Low-Resource Settings”

Professor Dr. Prakitpunthu Tomtitchong, M.D., faculty member of the Department of Surgery and President of the Medical Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage, together with faculty members, welcomed Dr. Yuji Iizawa, D.V.M., Ph.D. (Chairman) and Mr. Takeshi Ishida (Executive Director) from the Takeda Science Foundation, Japan.

During the visit, the delegation from the Takeda Science Foundation attended presentations by former grant recipients, who shared how they have applied the knowledge gained from the Foundation’s support to improve patient care, and discussed potential future academic collaborations.
